Registration Process 2012-2013
Formal Registration Process
New Applicants
First time applicants to our school register by mail. No waiting in line!!
Print the Application and Parent Agreement forms from the website. Please complete all the information! Pay special attention to work addresses and phone numbers. Incomplete applications will be returned.
Mail the completed Application, Parent Agreement and Registration Fees to the following address:
Sandy Springs UMC Preschool
85 Mt. Vernon Highway
Sandy Springs, GA 30328
All applications must be postmarked on or after January 9th.
After we have conducted registration for our church families, currently enrolled families and siblings of currently enrolled, remaining openings will be filled with community applicants according to the postmarked application date.
Priority placement is in the following order:
1) Church members
2) Currently enrolled students
3) Siblings of currently enrolled students
4) Siblings of previously enrolled students
5) Community-- postmarks will determine order of receipt of each application
If you wish to bring the application to our office, you certainly may. However, applications received by mail will be placed first (according to the date of the postmark). For example, if you walk your application in on the 9th, your application will be placed after any applications postmarked up to or on the 9th.
A notification letter will be mailed to you the week of January 23rd, 2012 regarding your child's enrollment status: successfully enrolled or waitlisted.
If your child has been successfully enrolled, you will receive a packet of information from us at the beginning of August providing lots of information, a few more required forms, and confirming class placement.
If you child has been waitlisted, we will call you as openings occur in either your first or second choice of class. Don't be discouraged if you are waitlisted! We have called families as late as the week before school starts!
Remember that all applications must include the Registration Fee and Parent Agreement Form. We look forward to welcoming you to our school!!
Rolling Registration
Once Formal Registration for the preschool has already been completed (all currently enrolled students and siblings of currently enrolled studetns have completed the registration process AND all Community Applicants have been placed), if there are any remaining openings, they will be filled with community applicants on an ongoing basis until all classes are full.
To enroll, please call the school first to discuss availability. Then, COMPLETE the Application AND the Parent Agreement Form and either bring them to the preschool office or mail them to the address indicated below. Be sure to include a check for any Registration fees.
When all classes are filled, your child's name may be placed on a waiting list according to your indicated choices. Unless only one class schedule will fit your schedule, be sure to indicate a first choice and a second choice so that we can place your child in our school. If there is no second choice indicated and your first choice is full, you will be placed on a waiting list after those who have enrolled in the school in their second choice of class but still wish to be waitlisted for their first choice of class. Don't be discouraged if you are waitlisted!! We have called families as late as the week before school starts!!
Registration fees are $150 for Kindergarten or $100 for the first preschool child, and $75 for the second and subsequent children. Registration fees should be included with each child's separate and complete application. Registration fees are non-refundable, e.g. if we place your child in a class and you decide to withdraw your child, your Registration fee is not returned to you. However, if your child is not placed in a class and is placed on a waiting list only, a Registration fee is not required.
Thank you for your interest in our school! We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our preschool family.
