Summer Camp 2011
Summer Camp at Sandy Springs UMC Preschool is held for two weeks in June-- you can register for either week or both of them!! Children aged 2 (by September 1, 2010) through Kindergarten are invited to attend! Your child will enjoy arts & crafts, music, special entertainers, outdoor exploration and play, science fun and snacks all geared around a particular theme for the week!
Week of June 6th - June 10th: "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"
Join us as we celebrate the works of Eric Carle such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, The Very Busy Spider, The Grouchy Ladybug and The Very Lonely Firefly. We'll pay homage to this American illustrator and author though Arts & Crafts, Science, special entertainers-- even our daily snacks will incorporate the theme! Friday is water play day at camp complete with watering holes (kiddie pools)! So the kids will get to don their bathing suits and make a splash!!
Week of June 13th - June 17th: "Princesses & Pirates"
This week will be full of surprises as we investigate the world of princesses and pirates! We'll talk about the positive personal characteristics of these archetypes and our Arts & Crafts, games, special entertainers and, yes, even our snacks will all incorporate the theme! Friday is water play day at camp again, so we'll hoist the mainsail and maybe even try walking the plank! Again, the kids can wear their bathing suits and we'll finish the week with a splash!
