The missions & outreach team at Sandy Springs UMC offers members and guests of all ages and abilities the opportunity to get involved in reaching out to the community. We work with many community groups and organizations to reach out and share the love of God in tangible ways.

Supporting Our Neighbors on SNAP
Beginning Nov. 1, the Community Assistance Center (CAC) anticipates a significant rise in requests for food and financial assistance due to a temporary hold on SNAP benefits. Our partners are preparing to meet the need, and you can help today!
How You Can Help
Donate food: Give shelf-stable items directly to CAC at ourcac.org/give-food.
Shop online for CAC: Purchase high-need items through CAC’s online marketplace at givenow.ourcac.org.
Support CAC programs: Make a financial gift to sustain vital services at ourcac.org/donate-online.
Give to Solidarity Sandy Springs: Provide financial support at solidaritysandysprings.org/givebutter.
Every gift, large or small, helps keep families fed during this season of instability. Thank you for caring for our neighbors.
Backpack Buddies
We’re excited to continue Backpack Buddies weekly in the Lake Forest Elementary School basement. We gather most Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. to pack 100 bags of food for students. Whether you can carry heavy boxes, unbox and organize food, or simply join the assembly line to bag items, there’s a role for you. Questions? Email Stacy Reece: stacyrobinsonreece@gmail.com.
